Highly disappointed. I bought this book thinking these were mini books that could just be torn out and used BUT they are double sided so you have to photocopy the page to use it. The purpose of me buying this was so I would not have to print anything.

Not a huge fan of this book. The mini books are pages that are double sided containing two set of books. the pages do not have a tear line, you simply have to rip the page out. Once you fold the page to create the mini book, the book is uneven and not appealing. Once you have read the first book, you have to unfold and refold to read the mini book on the opposite side of the page. I am not a fan of this. Each mini book should have been on one page. The pages should not be double sided and there should be pre-tear lines. Would not order this product again.

I actually really love this book because I am a teacher (but now stay at home Mom) and I have a scanner to scan and copy the pages. I took 1 star away because people who do not have access to a copier or scanner wont be able to use the book sine the pages are double sided with different words and you need to copy it to make the book. Otherwise, I think this is a fantastic product.

My four year old is showing a great interest in learning to read, so I've started with the elementary sight words, or common words that found in text that most people will learn by sight rather than spelling them out phonetically.This book introduces the first 100 Dolch sight words that children should get to know to start reading. These words are taught in Kindergarten. Each page can be photocopied to be folded two ways to make a little booklet with four exercises in each quadrant. Each page, or booklet will deal with one sight word where the child has to trace, fill it in a sentence and find in a mini wordsearch. You can get away with not photocopying and just filling out the exercises in the book, turning the book around for your child to complete the page - not an insurmountable problem.We love making up the books. My son keeps them all in a shoebox, and every time we get out previously completed books to review the words. Much more fun than flash cards!

This looked like an awesome book but when I got it I realized its two books per page and they need to photocopied in order to be used which is a waste of money would have been better as a digital package then print one of what u need and photocopy that very disappointed otherwise a good book

Wish I had read others reviews first... this is NOT A GOOD BOOK FOR HOME USE. The content looks great and I think my son will like this and learn the words, but being a homeschooler, I was hoping to be able to use it once and immediately. Instead I paid for something I now need to go pay MORE MONEY for so I can photocopy it to make it single sided. Also, I ordered it online to avoid going to a store - which I now have to go somewhere I NEVER go to copy the thing. I really should have read the reviews...

i haven't made copies yet nor have i tried to teach my son yet... but from what i have seen about the product, there are a lot of words that kids could learn. cons are: it's black and white, even the illustration. i guess it's good so the kids could also do some coloring on it. next, you have to make copies of each page first and then fold those copies into 4 sections to make it into a mini-book before your child/children could use it. i think that just a waste of paper and not really saving trees. it would have been better if it was already made into a mini-book. i'll update this review once i'm able to use it and teach my kid.

Looks like great resource just upset that I have to pay another $10-$15 to make photocopies so I can use the pages. Not quite the bargain I planned on. Great for teachers, overpriced for one child home use
